Start your journey to ‘Becoming’
Welcome! I’m so happy you’re here.
We are all becoming. Becoming more confident, more weighed down by the stressors of life and our relationships, more independent, and more unsure of our identity or place in the world. And the most confusing part: all of those ‘becomings’ are happening at the same time. How are we able to celebrate the joys in our worlds while feeling tied to pressures that are both external to us and internal, hitting close to vulnerable wounds? Welcome to Becoming Therapy Services, LLC. My goal is to be just a small part of your unfolding into becoming.
I support both individuals and couples in Colorado & virtually in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Ohio at any point of their own unique life’s journey. No problem is too big or too small.
Meet Me!
I’d like to formally introduce myself! My name is Emily Bretl and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Marriage and Family Therapy Candidate (MFTC) located in Denver, Colorado. I also serve clients via Telehealth in WI, IL, MN, and OH (go pack go)!
When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me in the mountains, baking at home, finding the absolute best foodie spots all around Colorado like it’s my second job, and above all - sinking into my couch watching my latest favorite TV show. My perfect day would be a brisk fall hike in the mountains, followed by a chai tea latte in a quaint coffee shop, and ending the day curled up inside… balance, right?
My Services
By engaging in open, healthy, and collaborative dialogue, we will use tools to help discover the stories that deserve a voice and parts of you that exist beyond the surface.
Individual Therapy
Together, let’s work to unburden anxieties, feelings of loneliness, people-pleasing tendencies, negative self-image, depression, grief, complex relational dynamics, and feelings of ‘stuckness’ and helplessness. Our connection and collaboration means the most to me, and your experience will be unique to your own story.
Couples Therapy
Relational dynamics can feel untouchable through the complexity and layers of life. In this time together, we will work at a comfortable pace that allows for all stories to be confronted, understood, and supported. My goal for this work is to come together in an environment that feels connective and safe.
Insurance
Insurance is a good option if your plan includes mental health benefits. You can call your insurance company directly to find out! Using insurance does require a formal DSM diagnosis and sometimes involves releasing specific clinical documentation, such as progress notes and treatment plans, to your insurance company upon their request.
I offer both in-person therapy at my cozy office located in South Denver off of Colorado Boulevard and Telehealth options!
